Authorization and Activation
To prevent commercial account sharing and other piracy behaviors, Stash currently imposes device usage limits on each purchase license.
To ensure the security of your account information, the device list and deactivation button are only displayed on activated devices.
Stash on iOS
Each Stash license purchased from the iOS App Store can be used on up to 6 devices simultaneously, including iOS, iPadOS, and the iOS version of Stash running on Apple silicon Mac. You can view the activated devices and deactivate unused devices in "Tools - System Information" (Stash V2) or "Settings - Diagnostics" (Stash V1).
Unable to activate Stash through TestFlight?
Since the AppStore receipt purchase certificate is only stored in the Stash downloaded through the store, if you are deactivated by another device or unable to connect to the activation server for a long time during the use of TestFlight, this prompt may appear.
You can re-download the official version of Stash from the AppStore to overwrite the installation and activate it. After successful activation, you can upgrade to the TestFlight version if needed.
Stash on macOS
Each Stash Mac Personal edition can be used on up to 3 devices simultaneously, while the Family & LifeTime editions can be used on up to 6 devices simultaneously. You can view the activated devices and deactivate unused devices in "Control Panel - Settings - Authorization".
Stash for iOS / iPadOS from the App Store and Stash Mac are separate products, and their licenses are not interchangeable. An iOS App Store license can be used on iOS, iPadOS, and the iOS version of Stash running on Apple silicon Mac, but it cannot activate the standalone Stash Mac app. A Stash Mac License Key also cannot activate the iOS / iPadOS version.
Forgot or did not receive your License Key?
If you forget your Stash Mac License Key or did not receive the License Key email after purchase, you can reset or resend it on the License Key reset page (opens in a new tab).
Stash is damaged?
Some antivirus or cleaning software may prevent Stash from running or activating properly. Please make sure you are not using such software to block or clean Stash Mac. If Stash is cleaned, this prompt may appear.
You can click here (opens in a new tab) to re-download Stash Mac and overwrite the installation to fix this issue.
Resetting Activation Count
If you encounter the message "Activation server rejected, maximum device count reached" and confirm that the number of activated devices has not exceeded the limit, please send an email to info@stash.ws explaining the situation, and we will handle it promptly.
